Since 1995 the NRE eco-educators have been visiting schools and community groups promoting recycling and composting, and more recently stewardship of local watersheds and ecosystems. The “Down to Earth” Education Program promotes local solutions to global problems. Educators also set up informative displays at public events. They can be found in schools and parks, at malls and churches, and doing tours of the Depot and Market: wherever the opportunity to share information presents itself.
